There were five ranked wrestlers at this weight class competing at the New England Showcase—so you know there’s been a lot of action! We start off with a new No. 1 in Ben Fournier (RHAM, CT), who won the showcase beating No. 8 Isaiah McDaniel (Middletown, CT) and No. 3 Robby Newton (Scituate, RI) en route to a title.
No. 5 Ashmith Yeruva (Sharon, MA) moves up after placing third at the showcase. He dropped his first match to Newton but bounced back by beating McDaniel and No. 6 Antoine Jackman (Greater Lowell, MA).
